St. John’s Nuclear Medicine Department Renovation

This project reconciled JCAHO/ Life Safety code violations I found while preparing the Statement of Conditions for this facility. The renovated space also allowed for more efficiency while serving the patient. Their existing waiting space was in dire need of an update and additional space, it consistently scored very low on their patient satisfaction scores and patients almost daily overflowed into the hallway. This renovation also gave the in-patients more privacy because they are usually in a hospital gown; in the past they waited with the out-patients.

Challenge:

Joint Commission violations, HIPAA concerns between in-patients and out-patients.

Solution:

Remedied violations and they scored much higher in patient satisfaction.

What the Client Says:

Stephanie Ireland’s involvement was a critical piece for the South Patient Tower construction, as well as coordinating each departmental move, to make it a success. She made sure that every contractor, every owner-provided piece, every customer involved, knew what was needed to make sure the project would move smoothly and be completed in time.

She asks the questions that no one else has thought of and communicates these questions to the people who can provide the answers. When Stephanie is coordinating a project, everyone involved in the project has someone they can count on to help with issues that may arise. Every project that Stephanie works on goes well because she provides us with the communication and documentation necessary to provide excellent project management.
