This job was inspired by the rising heart disease in women and the lack of information and exposure to women about the disease. This is a space in which forums, support groups, informational dialogues and research can be done about the disease and its effect on women. There is a “living room” presence to this project so that women can be comfortable discussing the issue. This was the first center in the area dedicated to Women’s Heart Health. There is backlit lighting around the curved ceiling feature, a large screen TV inside custom-built millwork and a bar-like area to have coffee while looking up information on the internet.
