Mercy’s Joplin Behavioral Health Facility-Interior Remodel

This building was purchased when it was half constructed after the 2011 Joplin tornado incident. It was originally not designed to be a State licensed facility so we first assessed the existing construction then worked with the Department of Health and Senior Services to come up with some innovative ways to meet regulations for this temporary facility.

Challenge:

Meet the State regulations for a building half-built that was not originally designed for such.

Solution:

We worked with the State to creatively meet the intention of the regulations while keeping the budget low and expediting construction.
