Cafeteria Addition for Licking Schools

Licking Schools had experienced such rapid growth that their cafeteria could barely handle the influx. To accommodate the surge in students, they had introduced additional lunch shifts, leading to unusually early or late lunchtimes for the students. They approached us to design an addition, with the goal of serving more students at once.

Building additions often risk looking out of place, making it evident that they’re newer structures attached to older ones. The true test of a successful addition is when it’s indistinguishable from the original building.

To achieve this seamless integration, we matched the existing exterior materials, colors, and patterns. Additionally, by incorporating the school colors, we ensured the space not only blended with the original structure but also fostered school spirit and unity.
