Infectious Disease Suite
The only space available for this new suite was in a long, narrow space. Most medical design is based on a “race-track design” with the nurse station in the middle, but this space wasn’t accommodating to this type of design– so we had to re-think the “norm”.
Challenge:
The space allocated for this suite was very long and narrow, a little difficult to work with for patient/staff flow.
Solution:
Even though there wasn’t much space to work with, the design was very efficient and accommodates the staff with the ability to see the exam rooms from the nurse station.
