Ireland Architects worked with the City of St. Robert to provide an indoor and outdoor pool facility, complete with locker rooms, community room, and concession stand. The public was in support of the facility by voting affirmatively. This project was built within budget and opened on time and has been in high use ever since. We used natural sunlight by using natural light “fixtures” to light the indoor pool area and clerestory windows to light the main corridor. This will help save money on the utilities for the life of the building. We also designed the indoor pool so it could be used for water classes by incorporating acoustical properties into the space.
