Cancer/ Hematology Suite

Cancer/ Hematology Suite

This project is part of a larger concept—the new center servicing Cancer Center for St. John’s campus. The project incorporates 27 chemotherapy chairs that will look outside to the serene environment, Survivor’s Park. The doctors will have easy accessibility from the chemotherapy area to the clinic side of the operations, yet they are visually separated. There is a central lobby for all of the Cancer Services which will open into the individual suites. This entire project duration is 16 months and the budget is $7 million for the entire enlarged and renovated Cancer Center.

Challenge:

To provide an inviting place for cancer patients to spend quite a bit of time receiving chemo therapy.

Solution:

Designed location of the chemo therapy chairs to enjoy the Survivor’s Park.

What the Client Says:

I’m impressed the most with Stephanie and her team’s promptness and follow-through. She is the first architect that I’ve ever worked with that gets me the minutes from a construction meeting within 24 hours. She also listens to what we want and need and is good at coming up with solutions that fit what we want and need.

I’ve worked with Ireland Architects now on 100+ projects. Out of all of the architects I’ve worked with in the area, Ireland Architects is the best in the health care field.
